Among the enhancements in the latest release of VistaKEANE Resident Account Management are features designed to reduce the staff time necessary for processing payment and to assist in the collections process.

If you submit electronic claims in the HIPAA-compliant ANSI 837I format with RAM, now you can receive your remittance advice electronically in the ANSI 835 format. Electronic remittance eliminates entering each line and manual reconciliation. You simply import the file and RAM matches remits with claims and reports any discrepancies.

One client who is currently using this built-in remittance feature reports that time spent on one Medicare cash application session dropped from 45 to 10 minutes.

Enhanced Collections Tools

In response to the Keane LTC Users' Group's top priority, software developers have strengthened the Collections function in RAM by redesigning windows to provide more reference data and by adding functions to speed data entry.

State-Specific Enhancements

Billing report formats were modified to meet Medicaid requirements of these states: Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Modifications are included for three Medicare Fiscal Intermediaries' requirements.
